Modern researchers are now suggesting that cutting down the salt will not quite be able to prevent the risks of heart attack. They also said that reduction in salt intake would not make any difference at the field of suffering and dying event such as heart attacks or strokes.
In this purpose a review has done from seven studies including more than 6,500 participants, but the result has stated that lowering salt consumption always reduces a small amount of blood pressure after 6 months of continuing it.
This research has published in the latest edition of The Cochrane Library little days earlier, but unfortunately this has failed to broadcast total impact on the rates of cardiovascular events or death.
Though, most of the researchers are agreed with the fact that consuming too much salt is really bad for health. So, reducing the salt intake can give people some benefit with both high blood pressure or normal blood pressure.
With the sequence to the fact Rod Taylor, Professor of the University of Exeter, said “We still believe that we did not yet see any big benefits in this study, because the participants those we chose for trial have shown only reduce blood pressure by a moderate amount, so the said effect on high blood pressure and its equivalent heart disease was not large.”
In this regard a proper guideline from the Nice or National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence has called for in order to predict maximum daily salt consumption in England, which is predicted to be halved from 6 grams in 2015 to 2-3 grams by 2025.
In this regard Prof Taylor, the leader of the study, stated “With the sitting of the government ever some lower targets for the salt intake as well as food manufactures are now working hard to remove it from their products, so it has really become much more important to do some large types of research trials in order to get full understanding of benefits as well as risks at the time of reducing salt intake.”
