A team of researchers have said that India has now acquired the top position as the global country of Hepatitis B or HBV.
With the sequence to the fact the all the researchers from the MIOT Hospital in Chennai have also supported that. Because in this matter Dr Arul Prakash, the leading gastroenterologist from the MIOT Hospital in Chennai, has stated “more than forty two million of Indians are suffering from the chronic Hepatitis B infection, while this virus of Hepatitis B is much more responsible for 60% liver cancer in India.”
Later he has added “The entire condition in India with the reference to Hepatitis B vaccine is much more shocking, because we here do not found more than 1% of school children who have taken the vaccine of HBV or Hepatitis B, this has become one of the more shocking news because the effective vaccine of it are currently spread all over the world. Though a vaccine was developed in the year of 1970, but we have not taken this disease of Hepatitis B seriously. ”
After that Dr PVA Mohandas, honorable director of the MIOT Hospital in Chennai, has stated “Here in India more than 400 million of people are suffering from the disease of Hepatitis B, while near about 40 % of them are suffering from the disease like liver cancer.”
Dr. Mohandas has also described that his entire team is now trying to unleash a blitzkrieg in order to do campaign on awareness program against the disease of HBV.
Due to this purpose the entire team, from the MOIT Hospital, have taken the help of the cine artist Vikram, whom they make the brand ambassador of this campaign against HBV or Hepatitis B.
These effects have shown on the last Sunday while more than 22,000 school children from 13 schools in the city of Chennai have given free vaccination coupons against the disease of HBV.
Last but not in the list Dr Mohandas again said “In order to spread HBV awareness all over the India we have set up an Advanced Centre For Gastrointestinal and Liver there.”
